The location is a major win too; there’s a bus stop right outside, which made getting around super easy. Now, let’s talk about the downsides. The whole facility felt pretty dated and in need of some serious TLC. The kitchen had this odd layout with the sink cramped in the corner, making it a little tricky to access. Sure, there was a dishwasher, but the dishcloth they provided was tiny and flimsy, which made cleaning up a hassle—like, who wants to deal with that on vacation? One thing that really bothered me was the smell in the laundry area. It had this awful sewerage odor that seeped into our room every time we opened the door, which is just not what you want when you’re trying to relax. And speaking of the kitchen, I was pretty put off by the cooking facilities. The oven door wouldn’t close because the seal was broken, and the cooktop looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages—definitely not hygienic. So I just ended up using the kitchen way less than I planned to. As for amenities, they had free washing machines and dryers, which came in handy, but it felt like I was stepping into a sauna every time I walked into the bathroom. There was zero ventilation, and everything got wet after a shower. Plus, the spa and BBQ area were out of order, which was frustrating since I was hoping to use those. The staff? They were nice enough, but because the apartments are individually owned, they couldn’t really help with the mattress that was completely collapsed. I mean, that made for some uncomfortable nights. And let’s just say that being above a busy road wasn't the quietest situation either, even with the windows shut. On a brighter note, they did have a flat-screen TV, which was a nice touch for chilling out in the evenings. But, I honestly missed having an electric kettle for my morning coffee fix—having to make coffee in a pot just felt a bit old-fashioned. And oh, there was no welcome drink or any info about local grocery shopping, which would’ve been nice after a long travel day.

The views were great, and I appreciated the spa suite overlooking the ocean. It was a short walk to the main street where I could find food and nightlife. I loved that the shuttle bus picked me up right in front. A heads up for fellow solo travelers like myself—my spa bathtub was an active member of the club of things that shouldn’t be old and potentially problematic. Still, the sunset views made it all worthwhile!
