We enjoyed a lovely stay at Clare Valley Motel with my 5-year-old son. the staff were friendly and accommodating, allowing us to check in early. the spa room was clean and well-presented, and the pool and BBQ areas were perfect for relaxation. Takeaway from the nearby Indian restaurant was definitely a highlight! the Riesling Trail was a great adventure for our bikes, too.

I found the location to be convenient, allowing easy access to local amenities and attractions. the comfortable bed provided a great night’s sleep after a long day of meetings, and I appreciated having two easy chairs in the room to unwind. One particularly nice feature was the key that let us visit 49 historical sites at our leisure, which I certainly took advantage of during my downtime.

Just wished the couch didn’t look like it survived a surfing wipeout. good vibes—I'll teach my daughter about history with a side of humor!

I had to wash the glasses before using them, which isn’t what you want to deal with when you check in. Oh, and housekeeping didn’t clean our bathroom properly; I had to ask for fresh towels after the first day, and they didn’t even pick up the dirty ones. There was a sitting area, but it could’ve used some freshening up. The curtains were practically useless in blocking out light, like they were vintage lace or something. I don't mind a bit of charm, but I don’t want daylight streaming through all night. And what's up with the carpets? They definitely had seen better days and kinda smelly too—definitely not very welcoming when I walked in. The bathroom was such a letdown. The tiles looked like they had been poorly painted, and there were random hairs on the floor, which is just gross. The shower had the worst pressure, and getting the temperature right was a challenge. I literally had to use a microwave to sterilize my son’s bottles because the place smelled like a pizza joint or something.

I had a FANTASTIC STAY! The breakfast was plentiful and varied, definitely come hungry! The rooms were clean and spacious. I’d choose this place again, even better than the photos!

during my recent stay, I enjoyed a peaceful atmosphere as the property is set back from the main road, ensuring quiet nights. while it’s a bit of a drive to the township, getting there by car was quick and easy. I appreciated the ample parking right outside my motel room. the hotel's architecture, featuring a fake upstairs, offered a charming vibe, and the views over the valley were simply stunning—perfect for exploring the area.

Enjoying a glass of local wine under the gazebo by the sparkling saltwater pool felt like being in a scene from a movie—everyone should try it! It's a relaxing oasis, where the only thing missing was a tiny umbrella in the drink, which would have made it feel like a tropical getaway!

The location was excellent for exploring the Clare Valley, and the room was spacious enough for a comfortable stay. there were noticeable maintenance issues, including a broken lamp and a lingering mouldy smell that detracted from the overall experience. Addressing these concerns would significantly enhance the appeal of this motel.
