Loved the staff, especially Jacob, who gave us a warm welcome and an insightful tour of the hotel - plus the room's view of Mt. Wellington was stunning. the hotel's sun terrace and garden area were perfect spots to unwind after a day of sightseeing in Hobart. the only downside was the location slightly out of the city, but it didn't bother us as the ambience and service made up for it. Such a gem! 🌟

The gardens and story of the hotel was lovely. the service and food at this hotel was fabulous. My husband is coeliac and this was no problem for the staff to accommodate, making our dining experience as smooth as a perfectly whipped meringue. Cons: Limited parking spots.

Could use more amenities for seniors; the children working there should consider adding grab bars in bathrooms.

I had such a wonderful time at the Islington Hotel. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay exceptional. Despite my late arrival, the manager greeted me with a smile and extended the breakfast hours. The food was amazing, especially considering I'm a vegan and they created a special degustation menu just for me. The location was great, with easy access to the city center. The gardens and artwork throughout the hotel were stunning. I highly recommend this boutique hotel for its charm and exceptional service.

They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, remembering our coffee orders and even providing a charcuterie board and wine upon arrival. the rooms were spacious, modern, and comfortable, and the breakfasts were absolutely delicious. the hotel had a unique and welcoming atmosphere, making it feel like a home away from home. I highly recommend Islington for anyone visiting Hobart.

Beautifully renovated 19th century mansion in a row of historic mansions. Close to Battery Point and a great cafe. Spacious rooms with comfortable beds and fireplaces. Chef-made treats left in rooms daily. Delicious breakfast with sourdough and bircher muesli. Superb view of Mt Wellington.

Had an amazing Christmas at this hotel! Loved the unique and creative decorations all over the place. the breakfast was scrumptious, especially the freshly baked pastries and the coffee made by the talented barista. the location was ideal, with breathtaking views of the nearby mountain. Had a lovely time walking around the beautiful gardens with stunning artwork.

Some parts of the hotel could use a bit of updating. Some of the furnishings were a bit old and outdated, which took away from the overall experience.

the exclusive amenities catered to all of our needs, from the in, room breakfast to the picturesque garden area. the staff was attentive and provided excellent service throughout our stay. the Spa & Wellness center was also a highlight, with top, of, the, line treatments and a serene sun terrace.

The only negative aspect was the location, which required walking or a taxi to the CBD. this minor issue was quickly forgotten due to the spectacular room advantages, including a private terrace and exquisite decor.
