At Cabanas La Teca, we truly got great value for our money. The room was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed, including a fridge and a loft for the kids. The location was a bit off the main road, but it suited us just fine. The staff treated us like family, going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable.

One small improvement that could be made is the breakfast option. The timing was a bit inconsistent, as there were a few mornings where the staff seemed to be running behind schedule.

As women traveling alone, we appreciated the secure location and the friendly staff. The cabins were beautiful and clean, and the amenities like the pool and entertainment for the kids were a bonus. The bar/restaurant offered reasonably priced and delicious food, and the owners even gave us fresh fruit as a send-off. The Canadian owner and Costa Rican staff made communication easy for us.

The food for breakfast could have been better with more options and fresh fruits or juice to choose from. But considering that it was included in the room price, bringing our own or going out for breakfast was always an option.

The owners, John and Ronny, were incredibly accommodating! They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. John even drove us to the airport early in the morning for a small fee and Ronny kindly gave us fresh bananas from their tree. The cabins were rustic but well-equipped with amenities like TV and internet. The food was delicious, and the staff even packed us a container of fruit for our early departure. The pool was refreshing and a great place to relax.

We stayed at Cabanas La Teca for one night as a stopover between the airport and Hermosa. The cabins were clean, spacious, and comfortable with great amenities like air conditioning and a fridge. The grounds were surprisingly beautiful, especially arriving at night. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, and the breakfast was delicious. It's a Costa Rican experience, so speaking a little Spanish is beneficial. The owner, John, and his wife, Catia, were friendly and helpful, even arranging a transfer for us the next day. The location is off the beaten track but well worth it.
