I had a fantastic stay at a centrally located hotel just a block away from the town center. the staff, especially Gerald, were so helpful and kind. the hotel was very clean and the rooms were spacious with a nice balcony overlooking the river. the grounds were beautiful and the breakfast was delicious. the hotel also had a small but nice pool and a Frog Garden where the security guard took us to view frogs after dark. it was a great experience - comfortable, convenient, and with friendly staff.

The hotel is perfectly situated near a cafe on the main road to the Sloth park, making it convenient to explore the area. The rooms are clean and spacious, with modern facilities. The service is friendly and attentive, and the breakfast at a nearby restaurant is delicious. Additionally, the hotel's garden and swimming pool provide a relaxing atmosphere.

The rooms could use some updating, as they appear to be a bit dated compared to the other facilities of the hotel.

Perfect location just a short walk from the city center, yet quiet and peaceful. The room was spacious, clean, and had a stunning view of the volcano. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, especially when I accidentally left my phone on a tour bus. The grounds were beautiful with a lovely pool area. Breakfast options were enjoyable and the cafe next door served delicious food. Despite a few minor issues with the WiFi and bathroom, I had a charming stay at Monte Real. I highly recommend this hotel for its convenient location, helpful staff, and comfortable rooms.

The room was clean with a mini-fridge for medication. Comfortable bed. Decent bathroom that just needed some fresh air. Good value for money. Helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast at a nearby shopfront was tasty. Nearby Italian restaurant with quality food.

amazing stay at a perfect location in La Fortuna! Staff was friendly and helpful, organizing tours and even getting me a smart TV. Room was clean with a stunning view of Arenal volcano. Breakfast by the river was a highlight. Saw wildlife and heard toucans. Loved it!

AC units need improvement.

The hotel is conveniently situated in the centre of town, just a short walk to restaurants and the main road. It is also close to the Sloth park, allowing guests to easily access the local attractions. The rooms are comfortable with good water pressure in the showers and the staff provides helpful service.

The lighting in the rooms could be improved, as there are either bright ceiling lamps or extremely dim lamps.

The drinks they provided were nice and refreshing, and the gardens around the hotel were stunning. the location of the hotel was very convenient and close to many amenities.

The sliding doors in our room did not close properly, allowing bugs to come inside easily. We had to use duct tape to seal it shut.
