Great food and friendly service

I recently stayed at Hostal Cloud Forest for the Quilotoa Loop Trek. The new rooms were beautiful and equipped with a hammock on the terrace. The breakfast included a variety of delicious fruits. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing detailed explanations and a map for our hiking route. The hotel also had a game room and a tienda. it was a great place to stay with stunning views and comfortable beds.

We had an amazing stay at a lovely hostel on the Quilotoa Loop. the location was easy to find on the main road and the room and bathroom were clean with hot water. the food, including breakfast and dinner, was delicious and plentiful. the family running the hostel were incredibly helpful and sweet, providing us with blankets and a map of the area. We would definitely recommend Hostal Cloud Forest for its great value and friendly atmosphere.

Amazing views and great value for money. the balconies offered stunning views of the valleys. the communal areas, with pool and ping pong tables, were a nice touch. the family-style dinner was a great way to meet new people and the soup was delicious. the breakfast was filling and served promptly. the staff were friendly and helpful.

The room was a bit cold, even with the wood-burning stove outside. the thin walls in the old part of the hotel made it hard to sleep when there were loud guests.

Patricia, the owner, made me feel incredibly welcome from the moment I arrived. The private room and bathroom I was given were beautiful, and the shower had excellent water pressure and hot water. They provided filtered drinking water, coffee, and a variety of teas. The included dinner and breakfast were delicious, and the common area had entertainment options like ping pong, pool tables, and foosball. The bed and pillow were amazingly comfortable, and the staff went above and beyond to provide clear instructions for our treks.

I stayed at this amazing hostel in Chugchilan for a few days during my trip to Ecuador. The food at Hostal Cloud Forest was absolutely delicious, especially the vegetarian options. The rooms were spacious and surprisingly warm, with comfortable beds and hot showers. The staff went above and beyond to assist me, arranging a fantastic horseback riding experience and even giving me a ride to Quilotoa. The wifi worked well, allowing me to stay connected. I loved the hostel so much that I extended my stay by an extra night.

I was pleasantly surprised when I was upgraded to a double private room upon arrival. the communal room was a great hangout spot with games like babyfoot and table pool. the breakfast and dinner included in the price were delicious and filling, and I appreciated the option to refill my water bottle instead of buying plastic bottles.

If you're only planning to stay the night and hike around the lagoon, it might be better to stay in the village at the lake. the lack of hooks in the room was a minor inconvenience, and the dinner was slightly underwhelming.

The hostel offered exceptional value for money, with affordable rates that included breakfast and dinner. The staff provided helpful assistance in finding hiking trails and ensured guests' comfort by lighting fires in the rooms. The location was beautiful, and the staff went above and beyond by driving guests to the clinic and assisting with translation.
