I had a fantastic experience at this charming and authentic house in Pas-de-Jeu. the homely and friendly atmosphere, as well as the 19th-century decor, added to the Old World charm. Ben Mitchell, the helpful host, made sure I felt welcome from the moment I arrived. the breakfast served in the grand dining room was excellent. the property is surrounded by a beautiful hectare of land, with a river at the end of the garden. I can imagine it would be a superb place to stay during the summer months.

the property is surrounded by a vast gate, opening up to a stunning enclosed garden with both sunny and shaded areas. I enjoyed swimming in the slow flowing river and cooking on the BBQ or in the kitchen area. the renovated rooms and suites were full of character and provided a comfortable stay. the owner and his family were incredibly welcoming and their local knowledge was invaluable. I also appreciated the great induction tour and excellent advice on local attractions and restaurants.

We enjoyed the impressive historical background given during our induction tour and the stunning gardens with century-old trees. the location of the hotel, although not exactly what we expected, still had its own charm and was convenient for exploring the local area. the recreation room with pool and table tennis tables was a great addition for guests, especially those with children.

the online photos were very misleading, as they did not accurately depict the property. the breakfast offered was basic and overpriced compared to other places we have stayed.
