Peaceful atmosphere, stunning surroundings, delicious meals made from fresh ingredients, attentive and friendly hosts. We arrived at night and were initially unsure about the location, but were pleasantly surprised by the clean and comfortable rooms. The highlight of our stay was waking up to a breathtaking view of misty valleys and sunlit trees. The owner, Santosh, has a beautiful garden filled with spices, vegetables, and flowers. Despite the distance from the town, we had our own transportation and had no issues exploring the area. The home-cooked food was a delight, although the breakfast menu could have been more diverse. The hot water issues were promptly resolved, and the slow internet was a minor inconvenience. we had a lovely stay and would recommend this place to others.

The Shade in Munnar is an excellent choice for a serene and scenic stay. the homestay offers clean and spacious rooms with stunning views of misty mountains. the hosts, Santosh and his wife, are kind and friendly, offering tips and arranging transportation. the authentic Kerala vegetarian meals served here are some of the best I've ever had. Don't miss the tour of the beautiful 2-acre garden and the small stream and waterfall at the end. the Shade is truly a place you won't want to leave!

The view from the room was absolutely breathtaking, with stunning views of the valley and mountains. the location, a bit away from the town, was perfect as it provided a calm and peaceful atmosphere. the accommodation itself was clean and had all the necessary amenities, including hot water, air conditioning, and WiFi. Another advantage was the warm and friendly staff, who went out of their way to ensure our comfort and happiness.

That we had to inform the staff in advance if we wanted food, as it was home-cooked. There were times when we forgot or the staff didn't ask, resulting in us missing a meal since there were no other nearby options.
