The hot water at the onsen feels so nice after a long day of walking, and the location is beautiful and peaceful. Cons: Who needs a spacious common area or an airport nearby? Definitely not me.

The location was perfect, right in the center of the city but away from the noise. the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always there to answer our questions in excellent English. the room was spacious and comfortable, with sturdy tatamis that ensured a good night's sleep. the onsen in the shower facilities was a wonderful way to relax after a long day of walking. We also appreciated the free parking, which is a rare find in Beppu. we had a great experience and would highly recommend this place to friends and family.

I had a great experience at this guesthouse. the staff, especially the friendly female Japanese staff, were attentive to our needs. the onsen was spacious and comfortable, with seven shower stations. the room, which we booked for four people, was relatively big and the futon beds were comfortable. the location was excellent, just a short walk from the station, Beppu Tower, and a 7-Eleven. Plus, there was a great view of Beppu Tower from our room.

Hidden gem! All hotels in nearby city were full, but luckily found this amazing accommodation. Excellent location near bus station and easy commute to/from airport. Onsen facilities are mind-blowing. Friendly staff and kitchenette available. Great value for money. Would definitely stay here again!

guesthouse sunline beppu was even better than my last stay. the free parking and nearby restaurants were convenient. loved the clean shared toilets and the add-on of the free public onsen. the staff, especially the apu grad with the shiba dog, were friendly with big smiles. great location near beppu tower and a street away from a big mall.

I recently stayed at Guesthouse Sunline in Beppu for a few nights during my vacation. The rooms were immaculate and, despite the lack of a private shower, the onsen was surprisingly enjoyable. In addition, they had delicious vegan cookies available for purchase at the reception, which was a delightful surprise. The staff were very accommodating and allowed me to check in earlier than expected when I arrived early. The location was also convenient, with easy access to major bus stations for exploring the area's attractions.
