We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location was perfect, as it was close to the city centre and within walking distance of many attractions. The hotel facilities were impressive, with a clean and spacious room that exceeded our expectations. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, especially Khairulnisa and Ashraff at the front desk who provided excellent customer service. We also appreciated the easy access to public transportation and the convenience of a 24-hour mart nearby.

The hotel is also surrounded by great eateries, like Toh Soon Cafe and Penang Road Famous Teochew Chendul, creating a convenient dining experience for guests. The room is clean and spacious, with soft and comfortable pillows provided by the hotel.

The location of this hotel in Georgetown is great. The reception staff were friendly and efficient during check-in. The rooms had relaxing bay views and were well-maintained and clean. The 11th-floor sunset view is worth seeing. The adjacent Red Garden food court offers amazing dinner options.

I recently stayed at Merchant Hotel for 4 nights in Penang. The location was great, just a short walk to the main street. The bathroom was newly renovated and always kept clean. The hotel's proximity to various food and beverage options, convenience stores, and tourist spots was very convenient. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the wifi speed was impressive. Additionally, having access to HBO and private parking was a bonus. The staff were friendly and helpful, allowing me a late checkout and allowing me to leave my hand luggage with them until my evening flight.

Convenient Location with Affordable Rates

During my recent stay at a hotel in Penang, I was pleasantly surprised by the convenient location and affordable rates offered by this establishment. The hotel is centrally located in the heart of Penang's main city, Georgetown, making it incredibly easy to explore the area. Everything I needed was just a few steps away, and public transport options were readily available.

Great breakfast included and very helpful staff. Convenient location right by a bus stop and close to shopping malls and sightseeing spots. the room was spacious and had a great view of the city.

Even worse was the warning sticker threatening to charge guests for cleaning if they were suspected of smoking in the room, despite the hotel's own failure to provide a smoke-free environment. not the best experience.
