The staff at Occidental made our stay truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, they greeted us with warmth and made us feel welcome. The facilities were top-notch, especially the spacious rooms and beautiful beach. The food was delicious, although we did have to wait a bit for the restaurants. The Xcaret parks were definitely a highlight of our trip. we had an amazing experience and would highly recommend this resort.

We absolutely loved the jungle atmosphere, close proximity to animals, and beautiful walking paths. The pool was spacious with plenty of chairs for everyone. The Michael Jackson and karaoke shows were a fantastic added bonus. The food was great, with friendly and attentive servers like Alberto and Marbella. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and David Diaz went above and beyond to assist us with taxis and tour guidance. Highly recommended!

The location of the hotel was perfect, with easy access to dining experiences, including a buffet with a good variety of food options for breakfast and lunch. The staff were incredibly friendly and polite, providing top-notch service throughout my stay.

I recently stayed at Occidental in Playa del Carmen for a week-long getaway. The beach area was pristine and had a convenient beach bar. The food was fantastic, especially the breakfast with its stunning sea view. The hotel had an abundance of swimming options and plenty of sun-loungers. The complex itself was grand and impressive. Additionally, the hotel's location was ideal for exploring Xcaret Mexico, a short 3-5 minute walk away. The wildlife on the property and the nearby wildlife trails added an extra touch of nature to the experience. The snorkeling next to the natural pool was also exceptional.

We enjoyed snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters, surrounded by colorful fish. The resort was surrounded by lush vegetation, including palm trees, creating a tropical paradise atmosphere. The higher end restaurants offered delicious meals, and the service was top-notch. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a well-maintained bathroom. The daily breakfast provided a variety of options to satisfy our taste buds. The resort had fantastic facilities, including tennis courts and a nightly show. it was a delightful experience.

One small downside was the occasional annoyance of being approached by staff trying to sell trips or time shares.

The resort had a beautiful location, surrounded by lush jungle and a stunning beach that felt like a secluded bay. the property was huge, offering plenty of activities and areas to explore. the buffet and a la carte restaurant options were great, with a good variety of food to choose from.

One of the downsides was the lack of soundproofing in the rooms, as we could hear our neighbors talking late at night and early in the morning. Additionally, we encountered some issues during check-in, with the receptionist taking a long time to verify our payment and providing incorrect information about the resort.

The resort provided a great family vacation experience during our Christmas stay. We loved the variety of adorable animals that could be found throughout the resort. It was amazing to see agouti, iguanas, deer, monkeys, and flamingos freely roaming the green areas. the resort's surrounding greenery created a sense of being in the wilderness, despite the convenient location of multiple restaurants and facilities nearby. Additionally, the pool bar was a highlight, serving perfect cocktails and staff who were extremely friendly. the resort's cleanliness was also commendable, with rooms being cleaned daily.

There were a few aspects that fell short of our expectations during our Christmas stay. One major disappointment was the cleanliness of the buffet, with ants found in the honey platter every morning.
