We had a fantastic stay at Kanuka Ridge Lodge! The warm welcome from Andi and the serene surroundings made us feel right at home. The room was impeccably clean and comfortable, and the shared facilities, especially the well-equipped kitchen, were a bonus. Stu's local tips were invaluable, and his friendly nature made our stay even more enjoyable. We can't wait to come back and experience this little oasis again. Thanks for everything!

Some guests mentioned that the bathrooms have stall-like doors instead of floor-to-ceiling doors, which may not meet everyone's security standards.

Had a great Easter weekend at this lodge! The staff were super welcoming and made us feel at home right away. The location was secluded and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing getaway. We loved the fact that we could park our car right in front of our room, making it convenient for us to come and go as we pleased. The shared balcony outside our room offered stunning views, and it was a great spot to relax and enjoy the scenery.

The dorm rooms were a bit cramped, especially if all the beds were full. The kitchen and dining area also felt cramped when everyone was making meals at the same time.

The proximity to Aqua Taxi was a huge plus, allowing us to sleep in a little longer before our adventures in the Abel Tasman National Park. The shared balcony outside our room provided a lovely space to unwind, and being able to park right in front of our door was convenient. The rooms were comfortable with sturdy bunks and a small coffee table. Though the dorms were a bit cramped when fully occupied, it encouraged socializing and there was additional seating outside if needed. Kanuka Ridge Lodge provided a great atmosphere and we highly recommend it for families who enjoy being in the wilderness and are light travelers.

My wife says that the bathrooms, with their stall-like doors and lack of gender specificity, may not suit those who prioritize security. For families with children, it would be great to have more spacious dorm rooms to accommodate everyone's belongings comfortably.

We arrived late for check-in, but the owner had left the key at the reception, making our arrival smooth and hassle-free. The accommodation was nestled in a peaceful spot, surrounded by nature, offering the perfect hideaway experience. The hammocks in the woods were an added bonus, providing a tranquil space to relax. The lodge was super clean, and the bikes available for hire were fantastic for exploring the nearby hikes and beaches. The cozy TV room with a great selection of DVDs added a nice touch to our evenings. Lastly, the stargazing opportunities at night were simply incredible.
