The location of the hotel was great, right in the centre of town. It was so close to everything central, including pubs and restaurants. The room we stayed in was clean and tidy, and the staff at night were friendly.

The breakfast was below expectations and the bathroom light didn't work.

Charming and spacious single rooms with a vintage Chinese cabinet. Newly renovated and very quiet and clean. Reception at a bar with pools, offering good and cheap beer. Free breakfast with toast and cereal. Nice views from the terrace. Great location in the city center. Affordable room price.

The location of this hotel in the center of Dunedin was excellent for us. We were close to the city centre and it was just over the road from the library and near the Otago University Halls of Residence. The double room was spacious and comfortable, and we appreciated the provided towels and soap/shampoo. The breakfast included was a great bonus, and the kitchen had a great vibe.

This hotel was centrally located in the heart of the city, making it convenient for us to walk to cafes, historic buildings, and other eateries. We loved the rooftop accommodations with amazing views over the city. The room was exceptionally clean and provided plenty of blankets for the winter season. The kitchen area, where they served a free breakfast, was spacious and also offered great views. The staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay.

We had a comfortable and clean room at On Top Backpackers. The shared kitchen was a great addition and the pool downstairs was a bonus for off-peak relaxation. The location couldn't have been better.

The location was also great, as we were within walking distance of many tourist attractions and food options. Plus, the bed was decently comfortable.

The check-in process required a lot of personal information, which was not protected by any apparent privacy policy. we had to leave a deposit which we were not able to retrieve due to a lack of staff over the holiday period.

I recently stayed at On Top Backpackers for 5 nights and had a fantastic experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. The shared bathrooms were kept clean, as was my room. The use of the fully furnished kitchen was a great convenience, and the free breakfast of toast, jam, and coffee was a nice bonus. Despite being above a bar, the room was impressively quiet, thanks to effective soundproofing. The location was also ideal, being close to the town center and various amenities.
