We were amazed by the stunning river view from our room at 1872 River House By Olivia. The lovely staff helped us with dinner reservations and recommended the Douro Valley tour, which was a fantastic experience. The central location and beautiful smiles made our stay unforgettable. we highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel has a beautiful location right on the river in a historic riverside area. Guests can enjoy stunning views from the rooms, which are clean and modern with lovely bathrooms equipped with heated floors and powerful showers. The staff are very attentive and friendly, providing a great service that includes making restaurant recommendations and organizing tours. In addition, the breakfast is delicious, with guests able to choose from a range of options including fresh fruit, pastries, and eggs made to order. Guests can also enjoy access to free beer on tap and soft drinks.

One negative aspect of this hotel is that there are no closets in the rooms, and guests have to use a standing clothes rack instead.

I recently enjoyed a fantastic Thanksgiving trip to a charming little hotel with amazing amenities and views! the breakfast spread was absolutely delicious with a wonderful variety of pastries, fruits, and cheeses. the concierge pulled out all the stops to prepare incredible eggs with sausages and bacon that were cooked to perfection. the location couldn't be better, with breathtaking views of the beautiful river and the city on the opposite shore. I also loved the complementary drinks left out during the day for guests to enjoy.
