The African hut where I stayed had several maintenance issues, including broken bathroom doors, a faulty bolt on the front door, and a leaking air conditioning unit. The rugs in the room were slippery and dangerous, as they kept sliding on the wooden floor.

The room was beautiful and clean, with great attention to detail. The uninterrupted Wi-Fi was a bonus. The staff warmly accommodated our little dog. They even made us a special vegan dish. we were impressed with the level of service and the relaxed atmosphere of the hotel.

The food options on the menu were limited.

Quirky hotel with an old-world charm. Comfortable bed with crisp linens and friendly staff. the gardens were well-kept, peaceful, and the perfect place to relax. Good for a day or two city break. the meals were decent and breakfast well-done. the spa bath was a great addition to our room.

The limited wine menu is a bit of a letdown, and the pepper-heavy dishes didn't quite do it for me. There could have been better quality drinks in the bar.
