I love the location here; I’m right by the beach and close to various local bars and shops. It's perfect for enjoying the FIB festival since everything I need is within walking distance. the staff are super friendly, and the rooms, while cozy, are kept clean with comfy beds and a solid air conditioning system. I appreciate the daily towel replacements, which add to the comfort.

So, I hit up Hostal Garamar for a short getaway, and while it had its moments, there are a few things I felt I should mention. First off, the location is pretty stellar. It’s right in the thick of things, surrounded by cool bars and restaurants which is fantastic if you’re into that vibrant scene, especially if you're there for a festival. I really enjoyed just stepping out and being able to find some great food and entertainment. Plus, the beach wasn’t far, so it was easy to sneak in some sun between events! The air conditioning in the room was solid, which was much appreciated during the hot days. The mattress was comfy too, kind of one of those where you just sink in and feel relaxed. But I gotta say, the triple room for just the two of us was a bit overkill. With that extra bed in there, it felt a little cramped, and we tripped over it more than once. Then there were the little things that got annoying. I was kinda shocked to find long hair in my blanket when I checked in. Not the best welcome, right? And to top it off, the maintenance guy barged right into my room without knocking while I was lying in bed. I get that repairs are important, but a heads-up would have been nice! The shower pressure was often just a trickle, which was pretty frustrating, and it was the same story with the toilet. Flushing felt like a never-ending operation. Housekeeping was a bit hit or miss. They were super early, and I’m all for keeping things tidy, but waking up to loud chatter in the hall wasn't the best vibe. there were barely any toiletries provided—just a couple of sachets of shampoo and shower gel—and I was baffled that there was no hand soap available. I mean, that's kind of basic, right? I also didn’t get the double bed I requested. Had twin beds instead, which was. not great when you’re trying to snuggle up after a long day of partying. One other thing worth mentioning is the breakfast situation. It wasn’t clearly communicated during check-in. For 5 euros, you get a drink, a croissant, and a slice of toasted bread. Honestly, it didn't feel like a lot for the price, especially when many places do better breakfasts included. So, while there were definitely things I enjoyed, like the friendly staff and comfy mattress, there were also a bunch of little things that added up. The place could really benefit from paying attention to those details to make it a more pleasant stay for everyone.
