our second stay in negombo was even better, with dorset going above and beyond. the owners were incredibly helpful and welcoming, arranging transportation and providing helpful tips. the rooms were clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed a delicious sri lankan breakfast. highly recommended.

unreliable electricity interruptions

We had a fantastic stay at a centrally located hotel in Negombo. The owners were extremely helpful and provided us with a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable, with great AC. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the beach. I would highly recommend this place for a wonderful stay in Negombo.

I stayed at Hotel Dorset for one night before my early morning flight and was pleasantly surprised. The room was spacious, with a comfortable bed and even mosquito nets. The owners were incredibly kind and welcoming, offering me sandwiches when I arrived late and a delicious breakfast before my departure. They even drove me to the airport to ensure a safe journey. The location was convenient, within walking distance to the city center and the beach. Highly recommended!

I found the narrow driveway entrance to be a bit inconvenient for parking, especially for larger vehicles.

The hotel was just what I needed for my city break in Sri Lanka. the staff were friendly and welcoming, and I was given a cold drink upon arrival. the location was perfect for exploring the nearby town and beach, both of which were just a short walk away. Bonus points for the delicious breakfast and the comfortable, clean room with good air conditioning.

While the location was great for exploring, the entrance to the hotel was a bit narrow and not very appealing. there were no nearby shops or eating places, which meant a 20-30 minute walk to find something to eat.

bathroom smelled musty

The hosts were very welcoming and friendly, offering us a refreshing drink upon arrival and providing a clean towel. The location was great, being close to the beach and offering a chance to experience the local culture. the breakfast provided was delicious and enjoyable.

The lack of soundproofing allowed the noise and light to enter my room, making it difficult to sleep. It would be helpful if the hotel informed late arrivals to be considerate of other guests who may be sleeping.
