Helpful hosts, delicious food, perfect location for sightseeing, lovely tree houses with amazing bathrooms, fantastic breakfast.

Set amidst lush greens and trees, this charming tree house provided us with a unique and stylish experience. The hotel facilities were well-maintained and showcased clever use of wood and trees to create a true tree house ambiance. The location in the heart of nature allowed us to immerse ourselves in the tranquil surroundings, including a beautiful pond with water lilies. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, offering assistance with organizing trips, tuktuks, and even a safari. The breakfast was delicious, and the Sri Lankan dinner served here was the best we had throughout our trip.

Not obvious to find.

We had a really comfortable stay in the amazing treehouse at the back of the property. the staff, Sirissa, Gamini, and Ajith, were incredibly friendly and helpful, taking care of us both in Mutu Village and arranging our day trips and onward journey. the food was delicious, and we loved the rural location surrounded by plants, giving us a chance to relax and enjoy nature. the breakfast and evening meals were great, and we were assisted with our excursions to the national park and rock. the monkeys in the mango and avocado trees were an added bonus!

The treehouse retreat was a hidden gem! Being surrounded by lush jungle was magical. The hot stone and hot oil head massages were phenomenal. The local curries and dishes served for dinner were delicious. The location was perfect for sightseeing, with easy access to Minneriya National Park, Siguryia Rock, Dambulla Caves, and Polonnaruwa.

That the hotel was a bit secluded, with nothing in walking distance. But the peaceful and secluded atmosphere was also one of the best aspects of the hotel.

The staff was friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean and spacious. the bathroom was unique with its outdoor shower, which was a fun and refreshing experience.

There was no swimming pool, which would have been a nice addition to the hotel. It would have been great to have a pool to relax and cool off in during the hot weather.

We had one of our most pleasant stays in Sri Lanka at Tree House Mutu Village. We initially booked for two nights, but ended up extending our stay because we felt so comfortable. The village-like atmosphere with charming huts and a beautiful garden was a pleasant surprise. The location off the main road was quiet and peaceful. The rooms were clean and cozy, and the food was absolutely amazing. However, the real highlight was the incredibly helpful and kind staff. Highly recommended!
