We had a wonderful stay in a beautiful village on Dartmoor. The location was perfect, with stunning walks and bike rides right on our doorstep. The room was well-appointed and clean, with extra touches like fresh milk and biscuits. The staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome. The food was exceptional, with a variety of delicious options. The breakfast was huge and cooked to perfection. a fantastic experience.

The room I stayed in was good, but could have been better. the shower only had one setting, which was boiling hot, and the temperature in the room was quite cold during the night.

Lovely country pub on the edge of Dartmoor. Roaring fires, hospitable staff, fresh milk and clotted cream biscuits in the room. Excellent dinner and breakfast. Great location, quiet, beautiful. Dog-friendly property. Friendly staff. Very nice food. Top-notch, spacious room. Will definitely revisit.

The hotel's location was perfect for exploring the beautiful Lydford Gorge and Dartmoor, and it was conveniently situated on the C2C bike route. Additionally, the food at the hotel was amazing, with a wide range of delicious options for both breakfast and dinner.

The best part of my stay was the excellent evening meal. I can't resist mentioning the delicious cured cornish sea trout with beetroot - it was absolutely divine. Another positive aspect was the friendly and helpful staff, always ready to assist with any queries or requests. In terms of location, the hotel was conveniently situated near key attractions, making it easy to explore the surrounding areas. the fact that bicycles were safely stored overnight was a great advantage for those looking to explore the area on two wheels.

One of the worst aspects of my stay was the ensuite shower and toilet in my small single room. It was incredibly cramped and uncomfortable, with no heated towel rail.

The bathroom was clean and modern, and the basin in the room added a touch of convenience. Lastly, breakfast was absolutely delicious, with a variety of options to choose from. The hotel's location on the edge of Dartmoor provided the perfect backdrop for a peaceful and relaxing stay.

The inn's location was perfect for exploring the nearby Lydford Gorge and being situated at the foot of Dartmoor. Additionally, the generous sized car park directly opposite the hotel offered plenty of additional parking space, making it easy for us to park our car. The staff were amazing, providing a warm welcome and working hard and efficiently to ensure our stay was memorable. Breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of choice, and we loved sitting in the landscaped garden area for a drink before enjoying a lovely meal in the restaurant.
