Just stayed at a B&B close to a great pub. LOVED the lovely bath in the room. the service was amazing with housekeeping and pet amenities. Would definitely choose this place again! Better than photos!

we had a wonderful weekend stay at dacre house, a charming b&b with a warm welcome and beautiful decor. the room was elegant, the bed super comfy, and the entire place spotlessly clean. the village setting was tranquil, with a nice short walk for pets. nearby attractions like birdoswald were lovely for outings. the local produce and honesty bar added special touches, making our stay memorable. we would definitely return for the great food, lovely atmosphere, and excellent hospitality.

We had a fantastic stay at this B&B. the room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and extremely comfortable. the highlight of our stay was the lounge area with a cozy log fire, where we spent hours relaxing with a beer and a good book. the breakfast was delicious, with a variety of options including fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, and a tasty cooked breakfast. the location was perfect, situated in a picturesque village with easy access to nearby attractions such as Birdoswald and Hadrian's Wall.

The early morning wake-up call from a crowing cockerel, which disturbed our sleep and unsettled our dogs. It would have been preferable to have a quieter room, especially for those traveling with pets.

Clare, the hostess, was incredibly friendly and helpful. The location in beautiful Gilsland was perfect. The room had everything we needed, including amenities for our dog. The breakfast was delicious and the entire place was clean and well-maintained. Highly recommend!

I had a fantastic one-night stay at a lovely, comfortable B&B. The owner, Clare, gave us a warm welcome and showed us to our spacious and spotlessly clean room with a great view. Our dog was well taken care of with bowls and a bed provided. The breakfast selection was delicious, and I especially enjoyed the full English. The property is beautifully furnished and fitted out to a high standard. I would definitely recommend and visit again!
