We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this place. the location, right in the center of the idyllic village, was perfect as we were on the day's hike. the service and housekeeping were impeccable, and the room amenities, including tea and coffee facilities, a sitting area, and free Wi-Fi. the staff was friendly and always willing to assist with any queries we had.

The breakfast was first class, good choice and very well cooked and presented. If you like scrambled egg you will need to go into training because the portion is huge! I felt like Goldilocks enjoying a feast fit for royalty in a charming woodland cottage.

While my overall experience was fantastic, one minor setback was the low beams in certain rooms, which could be a bit inconvenient for taller guests.

The brekkie is a feast fit for a king, with scrambled eggs to pump you up for the day. the location is a dream, close to all the must-see spots.

The wildlife banter from rooks and pesky doors doing a jig might ruffle your feathers, but the lodge still sparkles. So, book in and savor the local eats!

Views of Stone Arthur and Fairfield through sash windows were picturesque. Witnessing Rydal's Sheepdog Trials was fascinating, and enjoying Grasmere Gingerbread was delightful. the lounge was comfy with a cute sofa. Breakfast options were abundant, satisfying my appetite.

Even though it was the smallest room, it was more than enough for my short stay. the bed was large and very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. the breakfast was top-notch, with a delicious cooked breakfast and a huge portion of scrambled eggs. the location was perfect for exploring the area. I'll recommend this hotel for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
