lock chambers was a cozy haven in the heart of fort augustus. the room was lovely, clean, and warm - a perfect escape after chilly nights camping. the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was fantastic for exploring the town and going on walks along the canal and loch.

The location was absolutely fantastic, with beautiful views of the lochs. We enjoyed watching the boats pass through and it was a great spot for outdoor activities. the rooms were lovely and cozy, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful.

The walls were quite thin, so we could hear our neighbors and their movements. This made it a bit difficult to get a good night's sleep.

The check-in process was inconvenient, with codes for access not being received and no reception or staff onsite for assistance. breakfast options were limited on the second day due to staffing issues, and parking was not available on-site which added to the hassle of logistics during a city trip.

The rooms were incredibly clean, and the shower was great - powerful and hot. The location of the hotel was perfect, right next to the beautiful Caledonian canal. We loved being able to sit out on the balcony and watch the bridge open for passing boats. The hotel was also conveniently close to shops and restaurants, including the lovely Caledonian cafe where we enjoyed breakfast. The staff were friendly and kind, especially towards our 4-year-old daughter, who had a fantastic time talking about Nessie with them. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend this place.
