I was pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome and fantastic service at this hotel. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The breakfast was delicious with locally sourced ingredients. The owner even gave me tips on the best time to have breakfast before catching the morning ferry to Orkney. I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent service and convenient location.

I recently stayed at a charming lodge in a convenient location. Situated close to the ferry port and just a short walk from the center of town, it was perfect for exploring the area. The rooms were spacious, with modern bathrooms and comfortable beds. The staff were friendly and helpful, making me feel like a welcomed guest. The delicious cooked-to-order breakfast set me up for a day of adventures. I also appreciated the free parking and WiFi. it was a great experience.

I did notice that the view from the lodge was not as scenic as I had hoped.

pentland lodge house was even better than my last stay in thurso. loved the convenient location, helpful staff, and well-fitted room. wifi was great and the breakfast service was prompt. highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!

The location was great, set back in a quieter street but still within a short walk to the main town. The toilet and shower area were very clean and seemed to be newly renovated. The owner, Liz, was welcoming and knowledgeable about the local area. The room itself was gorgeous, spacious, and beautifully decorated, with dual aspect windows offering a lovely view of Thurso Bay. The breakfast was cooked to order using locally sourced ingredients.

We loved the Caithness themed decor throughout the house, which added a unique touch. The breakfast was fantastic, with delicious locally sourced produce and plenty of it. The flask of fresh milk each day to accompany the tea and coffee in the room was a thoughtful touch. we felt welcomed and well taken care of, experiencing Highland hospitality at its best.
