Great location, close to Scafell Pike. Amazing breakfast and friendly, attentive waitress. Hard working staff, despite being short-staffed. Locked out once but luckily a kind lady helped us. Comfy bed and clean room, with a large bathroom. Convenient for late arrival with a kept-open kitchen. No issues.

The building may be showing its age, but it adds to the character of the place. The location is perfect, surrounded by beautiful scenery and close to Wast Water and the beach at Drigg. The evening meals from the specials board were also excellent. The parking space was ample and the one-way system in the hotel was convenient when encountering other guests with dogs. I had a great time and would definitely visit again.
