The County Hotel in Newcastle is conveniently located near the train station. The public areas, restaurant, and bar have recently been remodeled and improved. The staff is friendly and helpful, and I received an upgrade without even asking. The hotel has a charming mix of old and contemporary design. My room, 106 in the west wing, was spacious, beautifully furnished, and had air conditioning. The bathroom was massive and the room was quiet. The hotel offers amenities such as a Nespresso coffee machine, hairdryer, and iron. The Hudson restaurant and bar on-site are also very nice.

I felt warm during my stay, but I have no complaints about the hotel overall.

I had a fantastic stay at a well-located hotel in Newcastle. The hotel is situated in the heart of the city, right across from the train station, making it very convenient for exploring the area. While the room was on the small side, it was clean and the bed, although small, was comfortable. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring that my stay was enjoyable. I even had the opportunity to check out a day early and received a refund for the second night.
