As young families, we loved the spaciousness of the rooms and the modern fittings. The hosts, Pauline and Bill, were incredibly helpful and friendly, making us feel right at home. Every possible need was catered for, from little scissors in the room to open sachets in the hospitality tray, to phone charging points on both bedside tables. The attention to detail was impeccable.

The location was convenient, with easy access to Oxenholm station and a great little pub nearby that served excellent food. The room was immaculate and the attention to detail was impressive. The service provided by the owners was friendly and approachable, and the breakfast was faultless. Additionally, the guest house was ideally situated as a base for exploring the beautiful Lake District.

It would have been beneficial to have a more secure area for pets to relieve themselves, especially first thing in the morning and last thing at night.
