loved our stay at the lion inn in chelmsford. staff worked hard to make our visit smooth and exceeded expectations. fabulous food, spotless rooms, and excellent hygiene measures. we felt at ease and definitely recommend!

Food quality needs improvement.

The Lion Inn offers high-quality finish and stylish rooms. The large gastro-pub with hotel facilities is attractive and provides a great atmosphere. The staff is very attentive and goes above and beyond to cater to guests' needs. The breakfast options include both small English and Full English, perfect for vegetarians and vegans. The staff is helpful and friendly, creating a natural and welcoming atmosphere. The rooms have good bedside lamps for reading, powerful showers, and good mirrors for taller people. The linen napkins add a touch of elegance to the dining experience. the hotel provides a great environment where people can enjoy their meals and stay.

Felt like a true getaway, no complaints.

The restaurant served brilliant food, and the dessert options were simply irresistible. Plus, it was just a short drive to Bond Street in Chelmsford.

No coat hooks in room.

This hotel exceeded my expectations in so many ways. the value for money was outstanding. I got a great rate for my stay, and with breakfast included, it was a steal. Secondly, the attention to detail in the rooms was impressive. From the comfortable beds to the basic amenities like air conditioning and a shower, everything was thoughtfully provided. Lastly, the staff were fantastic. They were friendly, efficient, and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived.

I couldn't find a single fault with this hotel. Everything was perfect.

The hotel is in a great location, close to all the main attractions and shops in the city. the room was clean and had everything we needed for our city trip. They even provided us with free Wi-Fi and a complimentary breakfast which was a nice touch. the hotel also had a lovely garden area where we could relax and enjoy the sunshine.

The noise from the surrounding area was quite loud, especially during the night. We could hear cars and people talking outside which made it hard to sleep.

Some noise from nearby parties or kitchen staff may disturb the peace and quiet.
