I recently stayed at The Lorna Doone hotel for a few days while exploring Somerset and North Devon. The location was perfect, nestled in a charming village with easy access to tourist attractions yet peaceful. The owners and staff were friendly and accommodating. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with a huge bed and soft towels. The public areas were tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was delicious, with plenty of tea and coffee refills and excellent scrambled eggs. I also appreciated the flask of fresh milk provided for the tea tray.

Great location near beautiful scenery and friendly and welcoming atmosphere at the hotel. The room, though not very large, was comfortable and had a good-sized bathroom. The highlight was the friendliness and helpfulness of the proprietors, as well as the delicious and reasonably priced meals made from quality local ingredients. Free parking was also available nearby. I highly recommend this hotel for a pleasant stay.

This hotel was perfect for a short city break. the staff were extremely helpful and always happy to provide local recommendations. the location was great, with plenty of amenities within walking distance and easy access to public transportation. We particularly enjoyed the delicious breakfast selection and the well-appointed reception and breakfast rooms.

The bathroom could have used some more attention in terms of cleanliness, with stray hairs left in the bath and sink. the room felt a bit overpriced for the quality of amenities, with a stiff shower cubicle door and loose shower head.

Fantastic location, close to all the tourist hotspots but still nice and quiet. the staff were great, very friendly and welcoming. the rooms were brilliant, clean and comfortable. the food was top notch, both breakfast and dinner. Highly recommend if you want to explore the area.

The Lorna Doone Hotel offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere with friendly staff. The bed is incredibly comfortable and the full English breakfast is outstanding. The location is centrally situated in Porlock, making it convenient to explore the area.

The hotel is located in a lovely coastal area, right in the center of town. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome. The rooms were cozy and comfortable, and we enjoyed the beautiful view of the harbor. The breakfasts were delicious, with a modern twist and locally sourced ingredients.

One small improvement could be made with the shower connection, but it didn't hinder our stay.
