Great location near charming village, enjoyable dinner with good food and reasonable prices, friendly and helpful staff

Room was uncomfortable on a warm night due to loud extractor fan that couldn't be switched off, uncomfortable pillows

In our recent business trip to a charming village just outside of the town, we had the pleasure of staying at a lovely period pub and B&B. The location of the accommodation is down hill from the pub, providing a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable, offering a good night's sleep. The bathroom was well-equipped, although some guests mentioned a lack of bathroom shelf for personal toiletries. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing excellent service throughout our stay. The highlight was the breakfast, which was of the highest standard with a wide selection to choose from. The village itself is a true gem, with narrow lanes and picturesque thatched roofed cottages. It's a perfect place to unwind and enjoy the tranquility of the countryside. One minor downside mentioned by guests was the unreliable taxi service, but with proper planning, this can be easily managed. our experience as business guests at this accommodation was delightful, and we would definitely consider staying here again in the future.

The only negative aspect mentioned by guests was the lack of Wifi in the rooms.

Lovely spot for a weekend getaway in Somerset. Clean rooms, great camping facilities. Tasty breakfast with lots of choices. Takeaway food from the bar was excellent. Friendly and polite staff. Highly recommend. 👍

Our stay at The Masons Arms was exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, especially for our wheelchair user companion. The room was immaculate and provided excellent value for money. The parking at the back of the property was convenient, and the freshly baked bread at breakfast was a delightful treat. Additionally, the evening meal was delicious, with the pea and mint soup being a standout dish. a truly outstanding establishment that we highly recommend.

We were pleasantly surprised by the warm and very clean room at Masons Arms. The modern decor and comfortable furnishings made for a pleasant stay. We appreciated the little touches like the welcoming beers and water in the fridge, as well as the bathrobes and heated towel rail in the bathroom. The facilities were excellent, and the breakfast was superb. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed the lovely garden and the stunning views. The comfortable bed and good lighting were also much appreciated. we highly recommend this hotel.

Lower Odcombe is a delightful village - quaint, narrow lanes, thatched roofs. The Mason Arms: lovely entrance, high standard breakfast, helpful/friendly staff. Complimentary hot drinks, nice toiletries, comfy beds, welcoming hosts. Good sightseeing opportunities, popular with walkers.

Spent my Christmas holidays at a lovely local pub. the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, allowing me to select from a range of meat for my roast dinner. the food was cooked perfectly, and the homemade sticky toffee pudding was a killer dessert. the location was perfect for a visit to the nearby National Trust sites, and I enjoyed the microbrewery onsite.

There were a few aspects that could use some improvement. the room was nice, but lacked simple amenities such as a bathroom shelf and a summer quilt.
