The hotel was spotless and comfortable with modern amenities. The bar manager was friendly and attentive. Convenient location for exploring Monmouth town centre and the Offa's Dyke path. Free parking and WiFi. Delicious Welsh breakfast cooked by Stuart.

The room was spacious and comfortable, and the shower was excellent. the breakfast was delicious and served hot. the staff, especially Stuart, the proprietor, were friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to assist us when we needed a taxi. the location was convenient for walkers and there was a communal atmosphere in the bar.

Some aspects of the hotel still need improvement, as the rooms are being refurbished. Our room was small and lacked a wardrobe, and the shower-room could be better.

The location of the hotel was great, being close to the town center and within a 10-minute walk. Additionally, it was located opposite a Lidl store, making it convenient for any shopping needs.

There were some noise disturbances from the road and early morning deliveries nearby.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. the location is perfect - situated on the outskirts of the city in the stunning Wye valley. It's just a short walk from the town centre, allowing me to easily explore and enjoy some dinner. The attention to detail in the rooms was impressive, with spa-esque lighting that created a relaxing atmosphere after a long walk. The en-suite bathroom was very well equipped, with a modern design that added to the overall comfort. The breakfast provided was excellent, with a range of options including cereal, toast and a delicious cooked breakfast. The staff were also incredibly helpful and accommodating, going above and beyond by offering to run us into town for our evening meal. the value for money and amenities provided made my stay truly enjoyable.

Not easy to control the heating in the room.

Beautiful bathroom and shower, modern furnishings, fantastic bar, and delicious food. The locals made us feel like part of the group. The staff were all friendly and helpful, especially Lisa who went out of her way to find us a luggage taxi transfer. We appreciated being able to leave our car in their parking space. The hotel is conveniently located just a short stroll from the town center. I highly recommend this hotel for its welcoming atmosphere and comfortable accommodations.

I had a great time at Mayhill Hotel in Monmouth. the owner, Stuart, was kind enough to let us park our car early so we could explore the town. We enjoyed a lovely afternoon in the town center and later had a refreshing beer from the bar. the garden was a wonderful place to relax. Our ensuite room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. We had a fantastic breakfast with unlimited tea and coffee. a delightful stay!

The welcome was brilliant, the bed comfortable, the shower roomy, the breakfast first class. The pub didn't serve dinner but provided cutlery for delivery. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the room clean with everything needed, and the bathroom had great lighting. Special dietary needs were accommodated with delicious food. A lovely, clean room with excellent breakfast in a friendly pub environment.
