We had a fantastic time at this hotel. The location, high up in the moorland, provided the perfect peace and quiet we were looking for. The staff at the hotel were extremely welcoming and genial, and they anticipated our needs without us having to give much guidance. The food at the hotel's restaurant was exceptional and offered great value for money. The breakfast exceeded our expectations, and the cooking was done to perfection. We particularly enjoyed the full English breakfast. Additionally, the hotel's cleanliness and facilities were impressive. We also appreciated the parking and transportation options available. The hotel's proximity to the pub opposite was a convenient and enjoyable feature for us.

I stayed at The Rose and Crown for a few nights during my visit to the beautiful village nearby. The traditional pub atmosphere was a rare find and Richard and his staff provided excellent service and food. The quiz night was a fun experience, even though we won the booby prize! The rooms were comfortable and clean, with a powerful shower and plenty of hot water. The breakfast was brilliant and the price for the room, including breakfast, was very cheap. The bar and restaurant offered top-quality food at reasonable prices. Richard made sure all guests felt welcome and the local customers were friendly too. a very enjoyable stay and we will definitely return.

Lovely country pub, set in a little village, with warm and homely surroundings. the staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. the food at the pub was outstanding, with a great menu and excellent quality meals. the service was top-notch, with attentive and efficient staff. We also enjoyed the range of draught beers, which were well kept and refreshing. the location was quiet and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing getaway.

Breakfast choice was limited, with only one option available. It would have been nice to have a choice between cooked and cereals.

The food at the hotel was delicious and served quickly. There was a great range of dishes to choose from, both unusual and familiar options. the traditional hand pulled beers and speciality gins were a superb addition. the hotel also offered good value for money.

The squeaky floorboards were a bit annoying, especially when neighboring guests were walking around late at night. However, this is expected in an old building and wouldn't deter me from staying again.

The food was delicious, with a great selection for breakfast and an amazing evening meal. The rooms were clean and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The pub had a cozy atmosphere, perfect for relaxing with a drink in the evening. My only small issues were the lack of a hairdryer in the room and a missing toilet roll holder in the bathroom, but they didn't detract from the overall experience. I highly recommend this hotel for its warm hospitality and great food.

We had a lovely two-night stay at The Rose And Crown. The owner was warm and welcoming, and the homemade chips were delicious. The room had a beautiful view of the countryside and was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was great, and the pub adhered to all restrictions with table service and screens. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the bar had a nice atmosphere. A great place to stop with good value for money.
