We were delighted with the pleasant and modern renovated bathroom at Wainstones. The fast running hot water was a wonderful touch, providing us with a refreshing and comfortable experience. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep after a long day of walking. The staff were friendly and helpful, offering us a much-appreciated lift to and from Clay Bank Top for our Cleveland Way walk. The well-cooked breakfast was delicious, and we enjoyed the beautiful pictures of local scenes displayed in the corridors.

Although our room was of high standard, the overall decor of the hotel could benefit from a refurbishment, particularly the dining room which did not create a relaxed dining atmosphere. Additionally, the hotel is a bit far away from the trail, requiring us to walk across fields on old footpaths to avoid the main road.

This hotel is in a rather nondescript area without much to see within easy walking distance, but it is conveniently located on the coast to coast walk. The rooms are clean and the bathrooms well-appointed. The staff are friendly and helpful, providing excellent service. The breakfast options are wonderful and the waiting staff are attentive. The hotel also has lovely surroundings and offers delicious food in the evening.

They even remembered my late arrival and arranged a plate of gluten-free sandwiches for me. The room was comfortable, the food was excellent, and the breakfast included a delicious kipper. had a great time exploring Stokesley and the North York Moors. The newly redecorated bathroom was lovely, and the breakfast waitress was friendly and helpful. Food was amazing, especially the steak and chicken pies, and the breakfast options were plentiful and delicious.
