During our stay, we enjoyed the location because it was close to shopping and had a calming fountain. We were grateful that it was away from the busy Boardwalk. Our room was excellent with a clean bathroom, comfortable bed, and daily housekeeping. We loved the complimentary breakfast every morning with fresh produce and hot coffee. The facilities, such as the gym and pool, were well-maintained and available to use for free.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location was ideal, with both Santa Cruz and Monterey being easily accessible. I loved exploring the beautiful beaches, visiting the Santa Cruz Boardwalk, kayaking in Moss Landing, and exploring the Aquarium. The hotel itself was clean and quiet, providing a peaceful retreat after a day of adventures. The room was spacious and perfect for my family of six, with comfortable beds and a TV in each room. The free parking was convenient and there were no issues finding a spot. The staff, particularly Eric and Chris, were incredibly kind and helpful. Eric went above and beyond to assist me when I got stuck in a parking space late at night, while Chris even helped me with my bags without hesitation. The breakfast provided was decent and served hot. The lobby staff was friendly and always ready to assist. Additionally, the water pressure in the shower was great and the water was always hot. I had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay here again.

Loved the beaches, Santa Cruz Boardwalk, kayaking in Moss Landing & the Aquarium. Eric and Chris, two kind and helpful staff members. Eric rescued guest from a parking issue and Chris assisted with luggage.

I had a delightful stay at Holiday Inn Express. The front desk worker was friendly and knowledgeable, making it easy for me to switch my payment to a different card. The room was comfortable and had soft pillows and plenty of extra bedding and towels. The breakfast was great, and I was happy with my overall experience.

Despite a couple of drawbacks, such as the high price and the inconvenience of the ice maker's location, the property felt recently updated, fresh, and clean. I also appreciated that my room, which was directly across from the elevator, was quiet and free from outside noise.
