The location was fantastic, right in the heart of all the action on Bourbon Street, and our street view balcony room was perfect for people-watching. Plus, the room was surprisingly spacious and the bed was super comfy.

The hotel felt overpriced for its outdated vibe, and the staff at the front desk weren't the friendliest. We encountered issues like a clogged tub, a saggy bed, and having to pay $7 for a bottle of water.

The staff, especially Malcolm, was friendly and very helpful throughout our visit. The beautifully decorated hotel, well-equipped fitness center, and relaxing atrium were some of the highlights of our stay. Although there were some minor inconveniences like the lack of vending machines and a temporarily closed pool, overall, we had a pleasant experience and would consider staying here again in the future.

The hotel is in a great location near Bourbon Street. We enjoyed the on-site restaurants and appreciated the pool, Pj coffee in the lobby, and slippers in the room. However, some aspects need improvement like uncomfortable beds, inadequate bedding, and rude security guards. The hotel's restaurant had excellent food, but there were issues with the ice machine and pool availability. While the room had a small balcony, it was shared and lacked cover.

Had a BLAST celebrating my friend's birthday on Bourbon Street! Room views were amazing, throwing beads to the crowd below. the pool was a bit tight but enjoyable. Would stay again! the staff was nice but could improve at giving directions. Loved the live entertainment!

I was a bit disappointed with the heating and air conditioning system as it made loud rattling noises whenever it turned on and off, which disturbed my sleep. One thing I really appreciated was the availability of tea and coffee facilities in the room. It was nice to be able to enjoy a hot cup of coffee in the morning before heading out to explore the city. On the other hand, the lack of a proper sitting area in the room was a downside for me as I like to have a cozy spot to relax after a long day of sightseeing. I also found the absence of rollaway beds to be a bit inconvenient, especially for families or groups needing that extra sleeping arrangement. the room could benefit from a full-length mirror for getting ready and checking outfits before heading out. While the property had beautiful garden furniture, it was a shame that the noise level from outside was quite high, disrupting the peaceful atmosphere. I also didn't see any am/fm alarm clock in the room, which would have been helpful for keeping track of time, especially in the mornings. the valet parking service was efficient, but the additional charges for it were a bit on the pricey side.

The prime thing I adored was the balcony overlooking Bourbon Street, where I could chill and watch the bustle. The staff was super friendly and reliable with their advice on where to eat good food and party. The bed was heavenly and made sleeping after a late night out feel extra cozy. The pool was a nice spot to unwind, but sometimes the cleaning staff got a bit loud in the morning, which was a tad annoying but nothing major. 🌴

The upgrade we got during late check-in was a real treat - free breakfast and happy hour perks up on the high floor were a nice bonus! The pool area was super chill and we met some cool people while sipping on poolside drinks. It's all about location - can't beat where it's at! 🌴 But, got a bit of a shock when the balcony room we requested was initially not available, and the alternative one we got had a bit of a funky smell from nearby trash area. Pricey parking, though!

Despite the noise on Bourbon Street, the friendly staff at The Royal Sonesta New Orleans made my stay enjoyable. The lack of bathroom handrails and breakfast options were disappointing, but the beautiful property and central location were highlights. Overall, a memorable experience.

My friends and I had a blast at The Jazz Playhouse and Guest Play in, dancing and sipping on the most delish cocktails. The hotel's lobby staff were like our cool older siblings, cracking jokes and making us feel VIP.

More parties and fun events for us young peeps would have taken this vacay to a whole new level! .

Wow, what an incredible stay I had at this hotel! the location is simply perfect - right in the heart of the French Quarter, just steps away from all the action on Bourbon Street. I loved that I could easily explore the area on foot, visiting amazing restaurants and shops. the hotel itself is so charming, with elegantly decorated rooms and a lovely courtyard. the interior balcony rooms were a unique touch that I really enjoyed.

While my overall experience was fantastic, there were a couple of minor things that could be improved. the cleanliness of the bathrooms could have been better.

A Historic Gem

Loved the elegant oasis of The Royal Sonesta. Great location for exploring, comfy beds, and a delightful pool bar. Small hiccups with champagne and room cleaning, but overall a wonderful stay in the heart of NOLA. Staff and service shone bright. Will return for sure.
