For the price we paid, we got great value. The room was spacious with a cozy fireplace and the softest towels I've ever experienced in a hotel. The location was perfect, offering breathtaking ocean views and easy access to Hearst Castle and the charming old town. The staff was friendly and accommodating, even allowing us to extend our stay without any hassle.

The food for breakfast could use some improvement.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The lobby offered hot tea, chocolate, and coffee anytime, which we enjoyed. The breakfast had a wide variety of options and was very nice. The pool, although a bit cold, was a lot of fun for our kids. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The staff were professional, friendly, and willing to resolve any issues. The hotel's location on the south side of Hwy 1 made it easy for us to walk to the beach along the beautiful State Park trail.

the room size is perfect, with a lovely view of the ocean. We appreciate the covered free parking and the friendly staff. John at the desk was especially helpful, recommending a Mexican restaurant next door that served the best homemade lemon ice cream. We also loved the architectural drawings in our room and the pleasant aroma throughout the hotel. the highlight of our stay was seeing hundreds of elephant seals and kite surfers on the beach. And the fact that the hotel is dog-friendly is a huge plus for us!
