The location of the hotel disappointed me as I looked out on unloved gardens that could be magnificent but are not. However, the room was large and tastefully decorated, with a private balcony overlooking the property. The bathroom was gorgeous, with a big bathtub and a monsoon-grade shower. The service was friendly and efficient, and the hotel was adjacent to an award-winning winery and surrounded by the established green wineries of the Yarra Valley.

The breakfast was a letdown, with cold and dry food that had clearly been left under the cloche for too long.

My room had a balcony overlooking a beautiful courtyard and the king-sized bed was super comfortable. The breakfast included in the room fee was also tasty.

The gardens around the hotel were not well-maintained and the seating on my private balcony was old and uncomfortable. It was also unclear that there were restaurants available at a nearby location on the same property.

Beautiful, well-maintained property, with attention to detail. Spotlessly clean rooms with great air-conditioning. Excellent breakfast included. Professional and attentive staff, especially Julia and Anne.

I was delighted with the historic ambiance of the building upon arrival. The vintage decor transported me to a bygone era of elegance. The room was spacious and beautifully furnished, providing the perfect retreat after a day of exploring the Yarra Valley. The bed was so comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep.

Although the breakfast was average, the other dining options in the area made up for it. Plus, the well-stocked minibar in the room offered a selection of drinks to enjoy at any time.

Amazing restaurant team, especially Kathy. Spacious and well-fitted Melba room. Beautiful outlook across the garden and fields. Friendly and attentive staff. Adjustable and effective room heating. Opportunity to explore the historic cellar. Beautiful location. Wonderful bed.

This venue provided a luxurious escape from city life. Hidden within verdant gardens, it boasted an outdoor pool, a delightful picnic area and an elegant bar/lounge serving some of the best cocktails. The rooms were lavishly furnished, and I appreciated the private facilities available in each suite.

While most things met our expectations, the dinner menu left a little to be desired. The buffet breakfast was a standout though - offering a vast selection of special diet menus.
