I had a fantastic stay at the beautifully located hotel. Upon my request, I was pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a suite, offering breathtaking views of both the bund and the Pearl Tower. The customer service was impeccable, leaving a lasting impression.

The receptionist seemed rushed and didn't provide information about the hotel's amenities or club level benefits. There were no in-room coffee or tea facilities, and the room service process was complicated.

During our romantic escape, we were impressed with the stunning view from our king executive suite. The room was not only beautiful but also offered a great price compared to similar rooms in other hotels. The staff were attentive and helpful, making us feel welcome and well taken care of. The location of the hotel was fantastic, just a short walk away from famous landmarks like the Shanghai Tower and the Oriental Pearl Tower. We also enjoyed the complimentary fruit bowl provided in our room.

We did have a few issues during our stay. the breakfast spread was not as extensive as we had hoped for.

Recently stayed at Shangri-La East Shanghai for a short business trip. The hotel's location was ideal, and my room on the 21st floor offered stunning views of the city skyline and Huangpu river. The breakfast at the hotel was out of this world with a wide variety of options from different cuisines. The lobby was beautiful and the service I received was unmatched. Additionally, the hotel staff went above and beyond to make my husband's birthday special by preparing a birthday cake and card in our room.

I booked my Christmas hotel stay with extra perks from a membership program and received a fantastic upgrade with an amazing view. The provided cake for my family’s anniversary celebration was a delightful touch. The hotel's location was perfect, with easy access to a large shopping mall and nearby traditional Chinese restaurants. The breakfast and dinner buffets were fabulous and offered a great selection of dishes.

The staff sometimes ignored the "Do not disturb" sign on the door, which became quite disruptive, particularly on the first day of my visit. The handwritten personal note served as a nice gesture, but I would have preferred if the staff had paid more attention to guests’ wishes for privacy.

The Horizon club on floor 29 offers exceptional service, delicious buffet, and great views. The new tower is modern with a bigger Horizon club and excellent food. Convenient location near malls, TV tower, and elevated walkways. Easy access to the underground train for exploring Shanghai.

The hotel is conveniently located in Pudong, offering stunning views of the river. It is just a short drive from the airport, making it easily accessible for travelers. The staff at the hotel are always ready to assist with simple things like organizing a taxi, ensuring a hassle-free experience. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with clean and well-maintained bathrooms. Guests can enjoy a delicious breakfast with a variety of food options, including traditional Chinese and American dishes. The hotel also offers impressive facilities, such as a beautiful executive lounge and a luxurious suite with river views.

There seemed to be some issues with the check-in and check-out process, leading to long waiting times.

The value for money was great, with a spacious room and a stunning view of the Pearl TV tower. The location was convenient and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

It was just a short walk to two shopping malls and there were plenty of transportation options nearby. The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable, and the facilities were top-notch. The room had a stunning view, with large windows and a comfortable bed. We also enjoyed the amazing breakfast selection each morning. The staff were attentive and provided fantastic customer service throughout our stay.

Drawbacks: The only downside was that the air conditioning unit in the room was very noisy, even on low fan speed. Additionally, there were some annoyances with the presence of hookers outside and inside the hotel.
