I had a wonderful stay at a large, comfortable hotel within walking distance of Freiburg. The room was spacious with a big bathroom and a great shower. The reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The highlight was the excellent breakfast, although the dining area felt a bit cramped.

There were a few drawbacks. I had requested a room with an extra bed for my daughter, but instead, we were given a disabled room with no preparation for her.

The bus stop outside the hotel made it convenient to travel into the city.

The cleanliness was below standard and the living room area had a lingering smell of smoke. The bedding provided for our children had apparently been in a smoker's room, which was a problem for our asthmatic child.
