Incredible surprise! The ladies welcomed us and even gave us pasta for dinner. The rooms are modern and the location is stunning, overlooking the lake. The common areas are clean and well-equipped. Friendly hosts who gave us GREAT advice on the area. Convenient for Kjolur Route, with easy access and quiet surroundings. Delicious breakfast with fresh fruit.

We had a lovely stay in early Sept. It is a little off the beaten path, but that's what we were looking for, so we loved it. All the rooms were immaculately clean and the beds were very comfortable, and the surroundings were peaceful and quiet. The owners were friendly and helpful. The kitchen was big enough to share with other guests and had all the necessary appliances. The location right on Lake Svinavatn was gorgeous, and we even went on a recommended horseback riding excursion nearby. a comfortable, clean, and peaceful stay.

Conveniently located on Lake Svinavatn with easy access to scenic side roads. Well-maintained rooms in the basement floor with a kitchenette and clean shower facilities. Friendly and helpful host who goes out of their way to assist guests. Easy access to Highway 1 without backtracking. Lovely setting with a church, cemetery, and remnants of an ancient dwelling on the property.

I had a fantastic stay at this guesthouse in a small village surrounded by beautiful landscapes. Communication before my trip was excellent, and I received a warm welcome from a friendly woman upon arrival. Since it was March and not many bookings were made, I had the whole house to myself. The house had a spacious kitchen and a pleasant community room, which would still be nice to share with others. The rooms were modern and well-furnished, with comfortable bedding and towels. The bathroom, in particular, was very modern and clean. The view from my room was lovely, and the room itself was warm and cozy. I even had a cute little kitten come to say hello after checking in. The breakfast provided was generous, with a variety of continental options although no hot dishes. The location was charming with a nearby church, a beautiful lake, and a field of horses. My room offered extra privacy as it was set apart from the other rooms. it was a cute, comfortable, and enjoyable stay.

As bike riders, we loved the proximity to Lake Svinavatn and the picturesque path leading to it. The well-stocked kitchen and shared refrigerator made cooking our meals a breeze. The presence of a church and small cemetery on the property added a unique and intriguing touch. The cleanliness of the place was outstanding, and the rooms in the basement were convenient and comfortable. The location allowed us to easily access both the north and south sides of Highway 1, without any backtracking. a scenic and enjoyable stay.

Our stay at Guesthouse was delightful. We stayed for a night during our journey from Egilsstađir to the Westfjords. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, answering all our questions. The breakfast they served was top-notch, one of the best we had on our trip. The farmhouse setting right by the lake added a charming touch to our experience.
