We stayed in a Junior suite at Grand Hotel Excelsior and had a decent experience. The view from our room was obstructed due to ongoing work, but the hotel's location was a plus. It was close to the main shopping area, the Corso, and also near the Museum with the Riace bronzes. The hotel was also within easy walking distance of the sea, the promenade, and the town center. The breakfast buffet offered a good selection, although omelettes came at an additional cost. The staff at the hotel were friendly and accommodating.

The hotel's location was perfect, very close to the center and famous archaeological museum. We were able to easily access everything we needed. The rooms were clean and spacious with nice views of the sea and Sicily beyond. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing excellent service. Breakfast was included and offered a variety of delicious options.

Loved the central location - just a stone's throw away from the beach and the famous promenade. The archeological museum was across the street, and the main shopping district just a short walk away. The room was large and comfortable with ample hot water and towels. Breakfast was good with plenty of options.

The lobby bar was closed during our stay, which was a letdown. It looked great with drinks on display, but we couldn't find anyone to serve us.
