Wonderful room if you ask for it

We were initially given a room that was dark and dingy just like in the mentioned review, but once we requested a change, we were assigned a lovely room. Despite this small inconvenience, the staff was nice and accommodating.

I had a wonderful stay at a beautiful quaint hotel in a quiet area of the city. The hotel is tucked away down a laneway and is much larger than expected. My room was beautifully decorated with a queen bed and a sofa bed. The huge private bathroom and central heating were a bonus, keeping the room warm in the winter. The breakfast offered a good variety of food, and the hotel's location was only a 10-15 minute walk to the center of the city. I also had the pleasure of dining at a fabulous restaurant just up the road. I would definitely book here again if I am fortunate enough to visit.

The windows overlooked rooftops and trees, providing a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The breakfast served in the garden each morning was plentiful, with a variety of traditional Italian selections. The hotel's location was perfect for sightseeing in the old town, and there were also shared outdoor spaces where I could relax. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Porta San Mamolo and would highly recommend it.
