The hotel's location was great as it was just a short walk away from the train and bus stations. The staff was incredibly helpful and courteous, offering us maps and information on the local area. We particularly enjoyed the complementary toothbrushes and razors in the room, as well as the cozy kimono robes.

The electrical system seemed outdated and we were advised not to use the hair dryer and boil water at the same time, which caused some inconvenience. , the room lacked natural light and felt quite cold upon arrival.

The location of Apa Hotel Hakodate-Ekimae was perfect for exploring the city. It was conveniently close to the train station and within walking distance to the tram line and the central historic district. Additionally, the hotel was situated right next to the traditional Fish-Market area, which was fascinating to explore.

One drawback was that the breakfast last order was at 9:30am, so I unfortunately missed it. Additionally, the corridors and my room were initially quite cold, and it took a while for the heating to warm up the room.
