The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always willing to assist with any needs I had. The location was perfect, as it was very close to the train station, making transportation extremely convenient. The breakfast provided was absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from. Additionally, the hotel facilities were top-notch, with a beautiful private onsen and a charming semi-outdoor area.

The hands-on management by the boss and his wife made us feel welcome and well taken care of. Despite a few minor drawbacks, such as the restrictive breakfast timing and the slightly high price, we highly recommend this ryokan for a memorable stay in Takayama. this hotel exceeded our expectations and we would gladly return in the future.

Very friendly staff, great breakfast, comfy futons, convenient location near the station and old town. Some plumbing issues in certain rooms but the staff promptly resolved the issue by moving us to a different room. a lovely experience with a touch of modernity.

I had a wonderful stay at this authentic Ryokan in Takayama. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel calm and welcome. They took the time to explain the facilities and even showed me how to properly wear a Yukata, which was a unique experience. The room was spacious and comfortable, with tatami mats and futon beds. The free amenities like the nail polish box rental and lobby herbal tea were a nice touch. The staff went above and beyond with their kindness and helpfulness, making great food recommendations and ensuring I had a memorable stay. I highly recommend trying this Ryokan for a true Japanese experience!

Staying here was fantastic! The location was great, being walking distance from the junction and meant it was central to most things. The service was impeccable with staff who were sensitive to giving very personalized and excellent service. The housekeeping was top-notch. Our room was quite spacious and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay including air conditioning, in-room safe, tea and coffee facilities, in-room flat-screen TV, and free toiletries. The hot spring bath and garden area were both really lovely. The dining experience was great and the food was delicious!
