The lack of air conditioning in the rooms, which made it quite hot during our stay. We had to sleep with the window open, but unfortunately, this resulted in a lot of noise from seagulls at night, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep.

Within walking distance of the Royal Mile and the Old Town, we were able to easily visit museums and other popular spots.

Lack of elevator: One downside was that the hotel did not have an elevator. This meant carrying our suitcases up to the higher floors by ourselves, which was a bit inconvenient.
