I got great value for my money at Avon Old Farms Hotel. The room I stayed in was lovely and comfortable, and the staff treated me with exceptional attentiveness. The location was also fantastic, situated at the foot of the beautiful Avon mountain.

More breakfast choices would have made the experience even better.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The grounds were well-maintained, creating a scenic atmosphere. The outdoor pool was a great addition and added to the overall enjoyment of my stay. The breakfast bar was lovely, offering a delicious selection of fresh breads, muffins, yogurt, and juices. The hotel's lobbies were beautifully decorated with trees, garlands, lights, and poinsettias during the holidays. Dining in the Tap room was a pleasant experience, with friendly and accommodating servers. The rooms were spacious and had a quintessential New England charm, providing a comfortable and cozy stay. The beds were extremely comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. this hotel exceeded my expectations and I would happily stay here again.

Our second stay at Avon was just as wonderful as the first. The room with a canopy bed was so comfortable and clean. We enjoyed delicious meals at the Seasons Restaurant and the beautiful pool. The staff was friendly and helpful. We are already planning our next visit next summer. I highly recommend this charming hotel.

I recently stayed at Avon Old Farms Hotel for a work conference and it was a great experience. The hotel grounds were beautiful and the check-in process was smooth thanks to the friendly woman at the front desk. The bedrooms were nicely decorated and the beds were comfortable. The maintenance man was also helpful when I thought the AC was broken, even though it was just my mistake. The hotel is conveniently located near restaurants and shops, and they have their own restaurant and bar open every night. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate my family, providing a pack n' play and upgrading our room to a luxury king suite. They even offered turn down service so we could relax without interruption. The pool was enjoyable and the hotel restaurant served delicious food with friendly staff. the staff was amazing and made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay.

Comfortable rooms and excellent pool. The king-sized bed was one of the best I've slept in! The large, clean pool was very enjoyable and refreshing on a hot day. I'd recommend this hotel for a relaxing stay.

For the price we paid, we got great value with clean rooms and super comfy beds. The location surprised me, as the first impression from the street wasn't positive, but the beautiful and comfortable lobby made up for it. The staff were efficient and gracious, and the pool was huge and well worth the stay. We also appreciated the hotel's history.

The breakfast menu could have been better if they provided more options without an additional cost. It would have been nice to have a hot breakfast available without having to pay a high price.

On a Sunday until 2 pm, there are a few enjoyable activities close to the hotel for business travelers such as visiting the lovely grounds or lunching at the tap room. The hotel is relatively close to the airport, which makes it convenient for travelers in a rush. Guests can have a drink at the pub and unwind after an exhausting day. The room interiors have old world colonial appointments which add a touch of elegance.

The hotel staff could do better in terms of customer service, as some guests have complained about unaccommodating behavior.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a wonderful local hotel for the second time in less than 2 weeks. The proximity to my family was perfect for my needs. The staff at this lovely, small place are truly the nicest. On my first stay, our room was initially loud due to a nearby wedding, but they quickly moved us to a quieter room. The late afternoon lunch and the snack they whipped up for my hungry daughter were delightful surprises. I especially enjoyed being able to relax by the fireplace with a glass of wine. The kindness of the staff truly made my stay memorable. Despite some minor drawbacks, like worn couches and slow-draining showers, this hotel provided a welcome respite during my recent travels. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Plus, the hotel's New England style and quaintness added to the overall charm. a fantastic stay that I will definitely repeat in future trips to the area.

This hotel is a great find with lots of charm! The rooms are cozy with great linens on the bed and a fireplace that adds to the cozy feel. I especially loved the location, close to Talcott Mountain State Park. The staff is very welcoming and attentive and provided basic amenities. Breakfast included is a great bonus! From the reviews, I liked that the hotel has a lush green mountain view with a stream and wildlife, making it a beautiful scenic location. Additionally, the planning and service for group events, like the bridal shower, seems to be excellent.

All in all, everything was great at this hotel!

Elegant establishment with well-maintained gardens and a big pool. Rooms with easy access to the garden were plush and immaculate. Reliable Wi-Fi access. Friendly staff willingly offered baby gear and turn-down service. Conveniently near West Hartford but no elevator in motel-style rooms.
