I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! Cindy, the host, was incredibly welcoming and even baked us delicious chocolate chip cookies. The rustic-themed lobby added a charming touch, and the location was perfect since we could walk to a few restaurants. Additionally, the hotel's lawn offered a great opportunity to spot wildlife, such as elk. The beds were very comfortable, and the water in the shower was consistently hot with excellent water pressure. I also enjoyed the quality coffee provided. Furthermore, the hotel was equipped with all the necessary facilities, including a fridge and microwave. The town had a brew pub and a good grocery store nearby. this hotel provided an excellent experience.

During my stay at Cowlitz River Lodge, I found the bed to be extremely comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The room was also clean and well-maintained, which made for a pleasant experience. Additionally, the Blue Spruce restaurant offered delicious food, adding to the overall enjoyment of my stay.

Although there were a few minor drawbacks, such as the shower water temperature being finicky and the lack of ventilation in the bathroom, these issues did not significantly impact my overall experience.

They even offered us a different room and a full refund, although we chose to stay in the same room after the problem was resolved. The attentiveness and friendliness of the staff truly made a difference in our experience. The cozy and rustic decor of the lobby, featuring animal pelts and mounts, added to the overall charm of the hotel. We would definitely recommend Cowlitz River Lodge to others and would gladly return if we find ourselves in the area again.

The lodge had a beautiful setting with stunning views all along the drive from the coast. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. As vegetarians and vegans, we appreciated the goodie bag offered as an alternative to breakfast and the wine social in the evening. The lodge also provided a discounted room rate, which was great. The highlight of our stay was watching elk grazing right outside our window. And let's not forget the delicious pizza at Cruiser pizza, which was a pleasant surprise!
