During my recent business trip to Seventeen Seventy, my director selected 1770 Sovereign Lodge Retreat as our accommodation choice. the location was fantastic, perched on a hill with refreshing sea breezes and a short stroll down to the beach, complete with BBQ facilities and a children's play area. the nearby pub offered spectacular ocean views and delicious meals, making it a convenient option for dining. the Balinese style and timber furnishings added a lovely touch to the retreat, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. One minor drawback I encountered was the lack of outdoor lounge chairs on the expansive deck, which would have been ideal for private relaxation or sunbathing. While the pool area had seating, it wasn't the most comfortable for extended lounging. more seating options inside the living room would have been appreciated. Having access to binoculars would have been a nice touch to enjoy the stunning views even more. For us, it was ideal. .

Minimal water view, weak wifi.

The pool at the 1770 Sovereign Lodge Retreat was a refreshing oasis on a hot day. I spent hours swimming and enjoying the cool water. Sunbathing by the pool was so relaxing.

the thai/bali style decor was so cozy 😍. Bit of a bummer with the view of a grotty old house 😕, but everything else was amazing, especially the spacious rooms! .

The shower recess in the bedroom was a unique touch that added a touch of luxury to the accommodation. the beautiful design of the room made for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

One minor downside I encountered was the lack of a vacuum in the suite.

My getaway at this lodge was fantastic! I stayed for 5 nights and loved the amazing location on a hill with refreshing sea breezes. the Balinese-style decor was charming with lovely timber furniture. Rooms were well-decorated, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the views were breathtaking. It was convenient having a fully equipped kitchen and cozy bathrooms. Plus, easy access to the beach and local amenities made my stay even more enjoyable. Cons: Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

The kids adored the pool and games room, keeping them entertained for hours.

The family movie nights under the stars were a hit, creating lasting memories for all. Cons: My wife says that more kid-friendly activities would enhance the experience.

No outdoor chairs for sunbathing, no sharp knives, noisy plumbing, and unwelcoming vibes. Paid luxury for budget feels. the pub and gardens were cool, but not so sure about the place. Owners should've taken decor tips. just OK, not great. Maybe next time, I'll bring my own binoculars and knife! 🌿🔪🔭
