I recently spent some time at Belconnen Way Hotel & Serviced, and let me tell you, it was a mixed bag. I was really excited about the location because it was super close to shops and the sports field we needed to get to for our kids' activities. That part worked out well, but then some things popped up that were pretty disappointing. First off, I was really looking forward to having a nice, comfy stay, and when we walked in, I noticed right away that the place could’ve used a deep clean. The floors were sticky, and there was old, dried vomit just chilling on the wall in the bedroom. Who even lets that happen? The shower was another letdown—there was hair everywhere and the water was barely warm, which is not cool when it’s freezing outside! Now, let’s talk amenities. The electric kettle was nice to have for our morning coffees, but you would think they’d at least provide milk with the tea and coffee supplies. Just some basic consideration would’ve made a difference! I noticed the kitchen utensils were dirty, so I had to wash them before we could use anything. On the plus side, the flat-screen TV was decent, and it was good to have two TVs in our apartment—even if one didn’t work because we couldn’t find the remote. About the sitting area: it was spacious and fine for hanging out, but the decor felt stuck in the past—kind of like stepping back into a 70s time warp. The carpeted floors didn't help the vibe either; they were pretty outdated and honestly felt a bit grimy. Heating was a tad cool in the main area, but the bedrooms were nice enough. You can hear every little thing though—walls aren’t soundproofed at all, so I was woken up a few times by noise from the hallway and the rooms above us. My kids were super anxious about a drunk guy lingering in the halls too, which is definitely not what you want when you’re trying to relax. I was pretty frustrated about the locked bathroom incident; I got stuck in there for twenty minutes! An employee had to come and break the lock—it’s like they don’t even do proper maintenance checks. I had hoped for some laundry facilities since it was labeled as serviced, but when we tried to get some service, it was nonexistent. The dirty communal bathrooms were a sight to behold too. Three of them were out of order and the fourth one was beyond disgusting. Seriously? I was kind of just shaking my head in disbelief. To wrap it up, while the size and layout of the apartment were decent and the kitchen had potential, like I said earlier, cleanliness and maintenance were major concerns. I just can’t believe that these issues were overlooked. I wouldn’t recommend bringing kids here unless management gets their act together. Here’s hoping they take some feedback seriously because they could really turn things around.

my room was super clean and comfy! the bed felt great, and the shower was nice and big. i loved that woolworths was so close. perfect for snacks! also, the receptionist with the spider necklace was super friendly and helpful. only a 25 min walk to westfield and just around the corner for breakfast.

We had a great stay and spent some time at the Kamberra Function Centre, where the vibe was just right for a family gathering. Plus, Stromlo Forest Park offered stunning scenery and trails that were perfect for exploring together. My children wished for a small play area on-site.

The 2-bedroom apartment was spacious and included a comfortable lounge with AC and multiple TVs. the large bathroom had both a separate bath and shower. Wifi was excellent, and we found the location convenient, with shops and restaurants close by. the rooms were clean, and the heating kept us warm during freezing temperatures.

The air conditioning didn’t work. It was too hot to sleep.

This hotel is great value for money, with a very convenient location for our activities. the room was small but adequate, and it was nice and clean. We appreciated the extra pillows and blankets in the cupboard, which was a huge plus!
