I had an amazing stay at this hostel in Cairns. As a first-time hostel traveler, I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly and helpful staff at Why Not Backpackers. From the reception staff to the bar and burger staff, everyone was super welcoming and made me feel comfortable. The facility itself was well-maintained and clean, and I particularly enjoyed the free access to the gym nearby. The free shuttle bus to town, which ran every hour, was also a huge plus. Plus, the complimentary breakfast included fresh fruit, pancakes, cereal, and more. my experience exceeded my expectations, and I would definitely return to Why Not Backpackers in the future.

had a fantastic summer holidays in Cairns and recently stayed at a hostel that exceeded my expectations. The staff was helpful and charming, offering great recommendations for local attractions. The hostel had a vibrant atmosphere with lots of activities in the evenings. Located in a peaceful neighborhood, I loved waking up to the sounds of local birds.

We had a great time staying at a nice property with a lovely atmosphere. The place was really clean and had great facilities, including a bar where we enjoyed live music. The free breakfast was delicious and the staff was super friendly. The location was convenient, with easy access to the waterfront and regular free shuttles into town. The communal area and pool were also a nice touch.

I was delighted with my stay at Why Not Backpackers. The friendly and helpful staff made me feel right at home. The covered outdoor area with plants was a perfect spot to relax even when it rained a lot during my visit. I also appreciated the tasty pancakes served for breakfast and the convenient free shuttle to the night market every hour. The hostel offered excellent value for the price. The private room provided enough space, although it would have been helpful to have something to hang wet towels during the rainy season. Despite some guests not cleaning up after themselves, I want to commend the staff for their constant efforts to keep the kitchen clean. I highly recommend this hostel.

The breakfast was amazing, they had waffles and baked beans with toast, along with cereal, tea, and coffee. The free WiFi was strong and accessible throughout the entire hostel. The staff were super friendly and always willing to help. The hostel offered a regular shuttle bus service to town, which saved me from a long walk. Plus, the free gym pass was a great bonus!

The location was a bit far from town, so the shuttle bus was necessary. The shared bathrooms could use some improvement, especially with a shelf in the shower for toiletries.
