I recently stayed at the Mantra in Airlie Beach for a short getaway. I was thrilled to find that I could book a room just a few hours before my late check-in. Even better, I got the room for almost half the price! The hotel's location was fantastic, and I especially loved the pool and dining areas. The pool water was at the perfect temperature, and the Happy Hour at the bar was a treat. I was pleasantly surprised when our cocktails were served in fancy plastic cups while we lounged in the swimming pool. It's the little touches like these that set this hotel apart from others I've stayed at. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the bar and pool were great for my family.

The facilities were great, with a pool and adjoining cafe giving a resort-style feel. Happy hour and the ability to take drinks into the pool area added to the special holiday vibe. The extra activities on the weekend, like the live musician, made our stay even more enjoyable. The location was perfect, within walking distance to other cafes and the beautiful esplanade walking track.

The hotel had a small and personal atmosphere, away from the mainstream, which we really enjoyed. The staff also went above and beyond to cater to children, providing them with drawing tools and activities. it was a fantastic experience and we would definitely return.

I was pleasantly surprised by what I discovered beyond the front walls of the hotel. the pool area was absolutely beautiful and the restaurant and bar were huge. I can only imagine how lively and buzzing it must be during peak times. My daughter absolutely loved it and couldn't get enough of the surroundings.

The rooms were in desperate need of renovation and felt neglected. They were dusty and had a cold feeling to them.

So, I recently spent thanksgiving at a hotel and let’s say that I was not impressed. However, I’m a fan of being positive so let me start with the things I enjoyed. they offered free parking and a breakfast buffet. the location was also convenient as it was close to the beach and shopping area. the swimming pool was lovely, and I was impressed with the outdoor seating area.

Now, it’s time for the negative aspects. the room was outdated and smelled weird.

The hotel is situated in a convenient location with shops nearby and a pleasant walk to Airlie Beach. Some rooms offer a beautiful view of the sea. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the housekeeping team provides fresh towels daily. Some guests mentioned enjoying happy hour and relaxing in the hot tub.

One guest experienced issues with their wifi access timing out before their check-out date.

As longer term business travelers, we found the facilities at this modern hotel to be clean and well-maintained. The pool area was great, and we enjoyed the convenience of the on-site bar. The Foxtel TV was a nice touch, and the gym, although small, was sufficient. The staff, especially Imogen, were friendly and helpful. We particularly liked the Seaview room, despite the car park view, and would choose it again. The location was also convenient, with nearby amenities like Coles within walking distance.

We felt so welcome during our stay that there was no reason to complain.
